As the Business Development Director at Ocean Independence, Niklas integrates his extensive international business experience with a deep-seated passion for the maritime world.
In this role, he develops and orchestrates strategic initiatives across all service areas, advancing innovation and excellence at one of the leading superyacht firms globally.
Niklas’s experience in finance, project management, and strategy at premier consulting and venture-building firms has honed his methodical approach, which is characterized by deep industry knowledge, focus on client interests, and effective execution underpinned by clear communication. He explains, “Above all, a confidential and honest communication has always been key and central during my collaboration with executives and international teams”. In parallel, Niklas’ passion for sailing grew after switching from competitive swimming to crewing on Volvo ocean racers, driving him to deepen his sailing expertise and pursue a series of maritime licenses.
This combination of yachting knowledge, business understanding, and a mission to share the love for yachting finally led him to join Ocean Independence.
Outside of his professional life, Niklas is an avid enthusiast of technology and finance topics, enjoys playing golf, and cherishes spending quality time on the water with family and friends.
