As a member of the Sales and Purchase Team at Ocean Independence, Adam's passion for sailing began on dinghies in Yorkshire before he ventured to Greece to work on flotillas and as a sailing instructor. Later, he managed an activity hotel and RYA Training Centre in Turkey.
Adam’s extensive maritime experience includes numerous Atlantic crossings on yachts ranging from 50ft to over 50m, along with extensive time spent in the Mediterranean, Caribbean Seas, and the eastern seaboard of the US. During his 3-year tenure as a Chief Officer in the superyacht industry, he became well-acquainted with engine rooms through to assisting with turndowns.
Transitioning to a shore-based role, Adam worked as a broker and handled new yacht sales for Inspiration Marine, primarily focusing on the world-renowned Hanse group of brands.
Apart from his professional pursuits, Adam finds joy in sailing (both dinghies and yachts), scuba-diving, and staying fit. Recently, he has taken up paragliding, a new adventure in his life. He is now based back on home soil in Brighton, near the UK office of Ocean Independence.
