Born to a yacht Captain father, a diplomat mother, and growing up sailing in the Mediterranean, Thomas developed a deep connection with the sea and a global perspective from an early age.
After completing a Master’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Business Management, which provided him with a solid foundation in strategic thinking and effective leadership, it was, however, his lifelong love for sailing that truly shaped his career path.
After gaining valuable experience in the banking sector, Thomas seized a remarkable opportunity to relocate to South Africa. There, he was able to merge his professional expertise with his passion for yachting. Initially involved in yacht crew training and conducting vessel surveys on behalf of the local yachting authority, Thomas’s dedication and technical knowledge caught the attention of a local boutique brokerage house, which invited him to join their team.
Thomas’s adventurous spirit, combined with his business acumen and extensive ocean passage & technical experience, make him a valuable asset in the yachting industry. His linguistic versatility and cultural background enable him to communicate seamlessly with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds, fostering strong relationships and facilitating successful transactions.
Recently, Thomas has returned to the Mediterranean, where he has joined Ocean Independence in their Palma Office. As a Sales and Purchase Consultant, he brings his global experience, keen market insights, and unwavering dedication to helping clients find their perfect vessel and navigate the complex world of yacht ownership.
