JEE Advanced is one of the major competitive exams held in India to get a seat in one of the 23 Indian Institute of Technologies of India and also Indian School of Mines in Dhanbad. Step 1: Registration

1. What is the pattern of the JEE Advanced exam?
JEE Advanced is the second toughest exam after UPSC Civil service exam in the Indian education system. The success rate of the exam is below 1%. This exam basically judges the deep concept of a student in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. The exam consists of two papers each with questions from Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Both the papers have a time duration of 3 hours each. Students can find the question only in English and Hindi. The syllabus of the exam is mainly that of Class 11 and 12 but it has questions of a much higher standard than the questions of the board exam. This is a computer-based exam.
2. What are the eligibility criteria for appearing for the IIT JEE Advanced exam?
First of all the candidate has to pass the Class 12 exam in the year 2020 or 2021 to be eligible for JEE Mains of 2022. Qualifying for the JEE Mains exam is the one and only criteria to appear for the JEE advanced exam. The candidates who come within the first top 2.4 lakh students appearing in JEE Mains including both reserved and unreserved categories can usually appear for the exam, but category wise a certain percentage of students get the eligibility to appear for the exam. In 2021 JEE Advanced, 50.5% from the general category, 27% of OBC, 15% of Scheduled Caste, 7.5% of Scheduled Tribes, and 5% of Physically handicapped students have acquired the eligibility to sit for JEE Advanced. To appear for JEE Advanced 2022, a student should have been born on or after 1st October 1994. Five years of age is relaxed for SC/ST/PwD candidates. The candidates must have not attempted the exam more than twice.
