Enjoying a position between Monaco and Nice, Cap Ferrat is notable for its clutch of exclusive hotels, restaurants and beach clubs, and ideally placed for quick access to Cote d'Azur hotspots.
Providing a great anchorage, St Jean Cap Ferrat, located near Villefranche, is a ragged headland where substantial private homes
are just visible from the water. Long, languid days can be spent swimming off the aft deck, diving in the incredible waters
and snoozing on the beaches – themselves a catwalk of beauty and glamour.
If the mood takes you, the Villa Ephrussi is a fascinating afternoon excursion. This hilltop palace offers stunning views from the Cap and was once home to Baroness Rothschild in the Belle Époque era. With a combination of Spanish, French and Japanese influences, it plays host to an outstanding art collection and the gardens are spectacular. St Jean Harbour and Promenade Maurice Rouvier offer excellent yacht spotting and the ideal place for an evening stroll before ducking into one of the many exceptional fish restaurants.
Perhaps first enjoy a glass of wine among the locals at Le Cadillac or La Civette. With a backdrop of rich terracotta rooftops among beautiful tiered gardens, this relaxed and exclusive enclave is one for the pocket book of the discerning yacht charterer. The peninsula is part of the Pelagos Sanctuary for Mediterranean Marine Mammals, a protected area jointly managed by France, Monaco and Italy, making it a prime spot for diving as well as whale and dolphin watching.
